Reading a thermometer - The range of the thermometer is -20oC to 110oC


Take a reading:

1. Read at eye level.

2. The top of the surface of the mercury (also known as the meniscus) almost lines up with the 30 oC mark.

3. The temperature reading is determined to be 29.8oC.

4. The unit of the reading is oC.
