The on-line test is typically a "multiple-choice/numerical input" * test that a User accesses via a Web Browser. The User inputs his or her choices for the test and submit the test for instant evaluation. The server computer returns with the score of the test, detailed hints for each question. These hints serve to guide the students to achieve the correct answers.
* On-line testing can also include "text" input answers. But more considerations have to be given to grading text input answers as they have more inherent logistic problems than multiple-choice and numerical input answers.
