Image Map
Clickable image maps work by mapping a set of x and y coordinates in an image
to a particular URL (Uniform Resource Locator). By clicking a graphic that has an associated
image map, readers can go to another page of your web for more details or more images, launch
an e-mail window, or go to any other location on the World Wide Web to get more information.
Similar to HTML hypertext links, graphics with image maps can add layers of interactivity to
the web page.
