Write the chemical formula involving strontium and nitrate

In section 4.6, we learned the charge of ions that representative elements tend to form. Strontium is an alkaline earth metal.

• Strontium, Sr, belongs to Group IIA. It likes to form the Sr⁺² ion.

The nitrate ion is a polyatomic ion. It has the formula, NO₃^-.

• The nitrate ion is NO₃^-.
