Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System

This WHMIS booklet is available on the WorkSafebc.com site. It provides information about the main elements of WHMIS and outlines the responsibilities of suppliers, employers, and workers for these elements. Read the booklet and understand the Classification, Symbols and Labels, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). and the federal, provincial and territorial Occupational Safety and Health legislation on providing information about many hazardous materials used in the workplace.

Online Prelabs

Before each lab, students must read over each lab carefully and come into the laboratory fully prepared. Part of preparation for the lab is to submit the prelab online questions for that lab before performing the lab. Refer to the course outline on the homepage for the evaluation of the laboratory portion of the course.
