Dissolving in Water
Obtain 4 large test tubes and pour about 5 mL of distilled water into each
test tube.
Record the temperature of the water in the test tube.
Use a spatula and place a heaping scoop of NH4Cl in the first test tube.
Mix with a glass rod to dissolve it and record the maximum or minimum temperature
reached.
Repeat step 3 for KOH, KNO3, and anhydrous CuSO4
using the other 3 test tubes.
